Position Summary

The role includes preventive care, immunizations, primary care treatment, health education, family planning, reproductive health services, and physical examinations.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, assess patients, and develop appropriate treatment plans based on their chief complaints and health status.
• Document patient health maintenance information according to established clinical protocols.
• Support the organization's mission, vision, and values.
• Perform or assist with laboratory tests and screening procedures as delegated by the supervising physician.
• Perform or assist with therapeutic procedures as delegated by the supervising physician.
• Identify and evaluate medical situations requiring immediate physician attention.

Required Qualifications

• Valid California license as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
• Active and valid DEA registration.
• Valid professional liability insurance certificate.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish.

Special Requirements

• Valid California driver's license.
• Reliable personal automobile for work-related travel; mileage will be reimbursed.
• Maintain the state-required automobile insurance coverage.
• Successfully complete a criminal background check before employment.
• Provide annual tuberculosis (TB) clearance.
• Provide proof of MMR and Tdap vaccinations.
• Provide documentation of current influenza vaccination and COVID-19 vaccination, as required.

Regular physical activities include:

• Sitting and working at a computer.
• Typing, reading, and writing.
• Communicating effectively in person and over the phone.
• Walking, standing, and bending.
• Driving a vehicle for work-related duties.

Approximately 50% of the workday involves sitting, with frequent walking, standing, and bending.
