Director of Catering Sales

Position Title: Director of Catering Sales Salary: $55,000 to $65,000 Other Forms of Compensation: Commission CULINAIRE provides upscale food and beverage management services to a very diverse collection of national accounts to include art museums, cultural landmarks, hotels, performing arts centers, restaurants, and special event venues. The Director of Catering Sales, organize and manage the event and sales of organizations and businesses both inside and outside the hospitality industry, with the aim of achieving sales goals outlined by the Senior Vice President of Operations and Sr Vice President of Sales and Marketing. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Organize and distributes Banquet event orders Plan menus in consultation with Executive Chef, Sous Chef Ensure health and safety regulations are strictly observed Responsible for production of invoice, mailing invoices, maintaining invoice files and transferring the information to accounting. Distributes Banquet Event Orders. Informs chef and other appropriate personnel as to last minute changes or additions. Prepares and distributes Guarantee Sheets and Function Sheets. Sets up and maintains department files. Maintain financial and administrative records and event files Liaison responsibilities between Culinaire and clients Negotiate contracts with customers Assist in the Planning of new promotions and initiatives for Catering and retail outlets Participates actively in raising service and presentation levels in all departments. Troubleshooting as required and perform all duties as set forth by General Manager QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Must have at least 5 years previous experience in a quality establishment. Proven ability to interact well with multiple departments. Must be committed to customer service. Must be available as needed (flexible work schedule to include working Saturday and Sundays as required). Must be pleasant, outgoing and attentive. Must present a neat, well-groomed appearance.
