HVAC Project Manager - Commercial Location: Plano, TX Salary: $95,000 - $125,000+ (Experience Dependent) A well-established and respected commercial mechanical contractor is seeking a Commercial HVAC Project Manager to oversee HVAC construction projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth market. This position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in commercial HVAC construction who can manage projects from turnover through closeout while maintaining budgets, schedules, procurement activities, and client relationships. Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary: $85,000-$125,000+ Vehicle allowance Fuel reimbursement/company gas benefit Phone allowance Comprehensive benefits package Performance-based bonus opportunity Position Overview The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful execution of commercial HVAC construction projects ranging from approximately $200K to $10M+ . Projects may include: HVAC equipment installations Sheet metal and ductwork systems Air distribution systems Hydronic piping systems Refrigerant piping Controls coordination Equipment startup TAB (Testing, Adjusting & Balancing) Commissioning support Punch list and project closeout activities Candidates with experience in either air-side or water-side systems will be considered. Experience with both is preferred. Key Responsibilities Manage commercial HVAC projects from turnover through completion Review contract documents, plans, specifications, and project requirements Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and schedules Oversee equipment and material procurement Manage subcontractors, vendors, and supplier relationships Track project costs and maintain profitability goals Process RFIs, change orders, and project documentation Coordinate activities with owners, general contractors, consultants, and field teams Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks Manage billing, schedule of values, and financial reporting Oversee equipment startup, commissioning, punch lists, and closeout requirements Maintain accurate project records and documentation Required Qualifications Project Manager Candidates Commercial HVAC construction project management experience with a mechanical contractor Experience managing commercial mechanical projects through completion Knowledge of procurement, cost control, budgeting, scheduling, change orders, and project closeout Experience managing multiple projects or large-scale mechanical construction projects Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC construction experience Strong experience with: Submittals RFIs Procurement Change orders Cost tracking Scheduling Project documentation Closeout processes Demonstrated readiness to assume full project ownership Preferred Qualifications Commercial HVAC Project Manager experience Commercial HVAC Assistant Project Manager experience Commercial HVAC Project Engineer experience Sheet Metal Project Manager or APM experience Experience with air-side and water-side HVAC systems Experience managing projects valued at $1M-$10M+ Strong understanding of startup, commissioning, and closeout procedures Familiarity with commercial construction management software Experience with Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Construction Management, Engineering, or related technical education preferred Benefits All Benefits Included #J-18808-Ljbffr CyberCoders
