Property Accountant
CFS is paired with a real estate property management firm looking to add a Property Accountant to their team.
About the Company Seeking a Property Accountant:
- Founded over thirty years ago, this company helps with all parts of the real estate business from construction, to property management, to property marketing.
- The growth they are experiencing is in line with current real estate projections for the Boston area; this is a stably growing entity.
- They have managed well-known development projects in the Boston area, and are present in several US states.
- Hybrid working environment.
Responsibilities of the Property Accountant Role:
- Responsible for representing and closing 15 to 20 properties per monthly in full.
- Update monthly property workbooks that codifies month-end process.
- Process invoices, vendor communication, resolve discrepancies, in a timely manner.
- Upload information for budget template and support Account Executives in the annual budget process.
- Timely completion of bank reconciliations and on-going cash position of properties.
- Analyze monthly financial package and support budget-to-actual variance analysis.
- Monthly client financial package completion.
- Complete year end audit packages.
Qualifications for the Property Accountant:
- 3-5 years’ experience in property accounting Experience with commercial retail properties is desired.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related experience.
- Experience in Yardi is preferred; experience in MRI is a huge plus.
Salary Range, negotiable depending on experience: $70,000 – 80,000
