Founded in 1981, IEC has a proven track record of over 43 years and continues to grow by acquiring new communities and offering development opportunities to our team members.Position SummaryIEC is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to work at our 149-unit apartment community in Mountain View, California. The Maintenance Technician must have experience working in an apartment community and strong communication and follow-up skills, both with residents and other team members. Self-starter, work well with a team, take initiative as well as ability to take direction from others. The schedule for this position is Tuesday - Saturday from 8am-5pm and requires the ability to be on-call in case of emergency.General ResponsibilitiesMaintain cleanliness of property grounds, leasing office, all common areas, all amenities, to include fitness center, fire pit areas, pool, and BBQ.Walk the grounds to pick up litter, pet waste, etc.Sweep the dumpster areas.Assist maintenance and office staff with various tasks such as posting property correspondence to tenants, such as resident events, and others as assigned.Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas.Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.Demonstrate customer services skills by treating residents and others with respect.Ad-hoc assignments as needed.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentJanitorial, familiar with OSHA guidelinesFacilities maintenance experienceAt least 2-3 years of working experience at an apartment communityCustomer service orientedAvailability to work Tuesday - SaturdayAvailable for after-hours emergencies, overtime, and regional supportIEC Offers a Competitive Compensation Package, Including:Company paid healthcare premiums at 100%, specifically for the employee, with options to buy up.401(k) Plan, with 4% company matchFlexible Spending/Health Savings AccountsCompany paid Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability Insurance, specifically for the employee, with options to buy up.Paid Time Off40 hours of Paid Sick Leave (PSL) after 90 daysCompany Paid HolidaysEmployee Assistance PlanEmployee DiscountsCommuter BenefitScheduleTuesday - Saturday 8:00am – 5:00pm
