Vertical Construction Estimator

Role Summary
The Vertical Construction Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial and/or residential vertical construction projects. This role analyzes project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine labor, material, and overall project costs while identifying risks and opportunities to ensure successful project execution.

Core Responsibilities
Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents to understand project scope and requirementsPrepare detailed cost estimates for vertical construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costsSolicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids for accuracy and competitivenessPerform quantity take-offs and pricing for all construction divisionsDevelop bid proposals and assist in preparing final bid packagesIdentify potential project risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering optionsCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects during preconstruction and bidding phasesMaintain and update cost databases, historical data, and estimating systemsAttend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client meetings as neededEnsure estimates align with project schedules and timelinesSupport contract negotiations and clarify scope inclusions/exclusions
