Director of Emergency Services (RN)She Recruits is seeking an experienced Director of Emergency Services to lead a busy, metrics-driven Emergency Department within a high-performing regional hospital. This role oversees daily operations, staffing, clinical quality, and strategic initiatives within the Emergency Services department. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, results-oriented nursing leader with strong ED experience and a passion for advancing high-quality, patient-centered care.The Director of Emergency Services is responsible for ensuring exceptional patient care, regulatory compliance, efficient staffing, and department performance. This leader forecasts volume, manages budgets, develops policies, and fosters a culture of accountability and teamwork. The position plays a critical role in advancing department goals and supporting the hospital's broader operational strategy.Key responsibilities include overseeing daily operations and staffing of Emergency Services to ensure safe, high-quality patient care; supporting development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with facility goals; fostering a culture of collaboration, professional accountability, and continuous improvement; monitoring departmental performance metrics, quality outcomes, and patient satisfaction; participating in forecasting, planning, and budget management for Emergency Services; ensuring compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and organizational standards; strengthening staff engagement using evidence-based leadership practices; promoting positive patient experiences and ensuring responsiveness to patient needs; collaborating with managers, clinical teams, and hospital leadership to optimize care delivery; and mentoring and supporting leadership development within the department.Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in nursing required, additional bachelor's degree or approved education plan required, master's degree preferred, minimum 1 year of applicable experience required, 3+ years of leadership or related ED experience preferred, and licensed RN in state of practice, or eligibility pursuant to applicable regulations.
