Job Description
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year in Phoenix, AZ (85043). This full-time opportunity offers the chance to support students in a Moderate/Severe Medically Fragile self-contained classroom while working alongside a collaborative educational team dedicated to student growth and success.
Work Schedule:
Full-Time
Contract Dates: August 5, 2026 – May 27, 2027
2026–2027 School Year
Qualifications:
Valid Arizona Special Education Teaching Certificate required
Experience working with students with moderate/severe disabilities and medically fragile populations preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
Knowledge of special education compliance, IEP development, and implementation
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals and Arizona state standards
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Collaborate with families, related service providers, administrators, and classroom staff
Implement evidence-based academic, behavioral, and functional interventions
Support students' communication, social-emotional, academic, and daily living skills
Collect and maintain accurate student progress data and documentation
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
Create a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
Assignment Details:
Moderate/Severe Medically Fragile Self-Contained Classroom
Expected Caseload: 7 Students
Classroom supported by 3 Instructional Assistants
