Registered Nurse – Med/Surg/Telemetry

Schedule: Shift: Nights 18:45–07:15 Weekend requirement: Every other weekend

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years acute care experience
• North Carolina or compact license pending
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, Telemetry
• Epic experience preferred
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care for patients with a variety of diagnoses, including diabetes, dementia, respiratory issues, and surgical recoveries.
• Monitor telemetry for dysrhythmias and provide appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and manage IV access, including central lines.
• Participate in respiratory care, including the use of BiPAP/CPAP and oxygen therapy.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient information and nursing interventions in the electronic health record.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation: 24 hours
• RTO: Up to 7 days auto-approved (no holidays)
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays; no RTO during first week; no additional RTO after signing.
• Must be able to work holidays.
• Additional pre-start modules required (non-billable); Acute care ~8–10 hrs.
