Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

Registered Nurse – Med/Surg – Telemetry

Shift: 12-hr nights - Block options: 36 or 48 hours accepted - Weekend requirement: 12–16 per contract

Duration: 13–26 weeks

Minimum 2 years recent RN experience

Required: BCLS

Licensure: NC or compact license pending is acceptable for submittal

Preferred: MS/Tele experience, familiarity with EPIC, ABG interpretation, tracheostomy care

Provide comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients in a med/surg telemetry setting.

Monitor patients with telemetry equipment and respond to changes in patient conditions.

Administer medications and IV therapy, including blood product administration.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic patient care.

Recognize and manage dysrhythmias and participate in rapid response situations.

Document patient care and medication administration using electronic health record systems.

RTO maximum: 7 days (auto-approved up to 7 days; no holidays)

No RTO during first week

All RTO must be pre-approved; additional RTO after signing not allowed

Must work 2 of 3 major holidays

Must complete lab/testing within 48 hours of signing

Must pass EKG testing prior to start
