Sourcing Specialist

You know procurement is more than pushing purchase orders. In this role, you'll have a seat between the business, suppliers, and the supply chain team-figuring out what the operation actually needs, negotiating the right deal, and making sure the material or service shows up when it's supposed to. What you'll do Own RFQs and bids from gathering requirements through supplier evaluation and purchase order placement. Negotiate pricing, terms, delivery, and contracts with suppliers. Work with business teams and generating facilities to understand technical, cost, and delivery requirements. Analyze spend, supplier performance, inventory, and market information to find better ways to buy. Build relationships with suppliers and hold them accountable to performance expectations. Resolve delivery, quality, claims, and accounts-payable issues when things don't go according to plan. Partner with strategic sourcing and cross-functional teams to improve purchasing decisions and capture savings. What you get This is a $46-$48/hour opportunity within an operational procurement center supporting an energy business. The role is work-from-home , with periodic travel to Texas generating facilities as needed. You'll have room to work independently while still being connected to a team that handles real sourcing decisions-not simply transactional purchasing. If you've been wanting to move further into supplier strategy, negotiation, spend management, and category-level thinking, this gives you that runway. Who you are You've spent 3-5 years in sourcing or procurement and know how to do more than process a PO. You can look at a quote and ask the next question. You know how to negotiate with suppliers, analyze the numbers, work through competing priorities, and make a fact-based recommendation. You'll need 1+ year of SAP experience and genuine sourcing responsibility. Power generation, energy, industrial, or MRO procurement experience will give you useful context.
