JOB TITLE:

Human Resources Generalist

Pay: $60,320 annually

JOB SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily HR operations while serving as a key resource for employees and management. This position provides leadership in employee relations, benefits administration, talent acquisition, onboarding, training, performance management, policy implementation, payroll support, and compliance with employment laws and company policies. The HR Lead promotes a positive workplace culture, ensures consistent application of HR practices, and supports organizational objectives through effective people management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Lead the administration of employee compensation and benefits programs.

· Coordinate and manage talent acquisition, interviewing, and hiring processes.

· Oversee and facilitate onboarding and new hire orientation programs.

· Serve as the primary HR contact for employees regarding leaves of absence, benefits, compensation, workplace concerns, and policy interpretation.

· Investigate and resolve employee relations issues while promoting a positive and productive work environment.

· Lead the development, implementation, and communication of human resource policies and procedures.

· Maintain and ensure accuracy of employee personnel files and employment records.

· Monitor and audit supervisor documentation and employee disciplinary records.

· Review employee timekeeping reports and address attendance and payroll discrepancies.

· Support and coordinate payroll processing activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.

· Manage employee identification badge creation and access control processes.

· Conduct drug and alcohol testing as required by company policy.

· Administer and enhance employee recognition programs, including Employee of the Month initiatives.

· Lead employee engagement and appreciation programs to support retention and workplace morale.

· Partner closely with department leaders and administrative personnel to ensure consistent HR practices throughout the organization.

· Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws as well as company policies.

· Generate HR reports and provide recommendations to leadership regarding workforce trends and staffing needs.

· Assist management with performance management processes, coaching, corrective actions, and employee development initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Minimum of 3-5 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a leadership or senior-level HR role.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, and employee relations skills.

· Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and influence positive workplace outcomes.

· Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain confidentiality.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems.

· Strong knowledge of payroll processes, benefits administration, and employment laws.

· Ability to analyze data and prepare reports.

· Proficient in the use of email, internet applications, and business software systems.

· Strong mathematical and recordkeeping skills.

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.

· Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 10 hours.

· Flexible availability, including weekends and extended hours when business needs require.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification preferred.
