Payroll Specialist

Location: Fountain Valley, CA (100% Onsite) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (flexibility available) Employment Type: Temp to Hire Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations across a multi-state workforce. This role partners closely with HR, Finance, and Operations to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing. Responsibilities Manage and process bi-weekly payroll Administer ADP Workforce Now (Payroll, HRIS, Time & Attendance, Reporting) Audit payroll and timekeeping data for accuracy Process garnishments, tax levies, and employment verifications Respond to employee payroll inquiries Maintain payroll compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Generate payroll reports and support HR projects Qualifications Required: 5+ years of payroll experience 5+ years of HR experience Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Accounting, or related field Experience with multi-state payroll Strong Excel and reporting skills Preferred: ADP Workforce Now experience CPP certification PHR or SHRM certification What We're Looking For Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities High attention to detail and confidentiality Ability to work cross-functionally and manage competing priorities This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with long-term potential for the right candidate.
