We are seeking a Financial Engineering Analyst who combines a data‑mining mindset with innovative strategic analysis and a passion for the financial services industry. In this data‑driven role, you will create new businesses, transform financial decision‑making, and explore evolving market opportunities in real time. Responsibilities Develop and implement corporate strategy plans, including mergers & acquisitions, financing, product development, expansion, and corporate structure and governance. Enhance the Wedbush Electronic Order System (EOS) supporting investment banking across trade and settlement services through budgeting, maintenance, and policy compliance. Coordinate and implement business development and investment banking mandates. Perform financial modeling (M&A, valuation, derivatives, trading, risk, proprietary position trading) and quantitative analysis. Conduct financial assessments of private and public companies. Research industry, regulatory, tax, and qualitative factors impacting company financial condition. Conduct SWOT analysis and environmental scans. Develop and manage algorithmic trading strategies. Perform internal audit, quality of earnings, forensic accounting, PE/VC due diligence, contract risk assessment, and quantitative interpretation. Market investment banking and capital market services. Manage and develop marketing and sales pipelines. Perform other duties as required. Experience And Skills Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field (required). Master’s or Ph.D. in STEM, financial engineering, accounting, or finance (preferred). FINRA Series 7, 63, 57, and 79 licenses (will sponsor). Experience working with large data sets. Programming experience in Visual Basic, SQL, C++, Java, or Python (highly preferred). Experience in quantitative research and building scalable systems. Prior trading, sales, investment banking, or audit experience. Strong interest in how financial markets operate and are regulated. High energy, intellectual curiosity, and solution orientation. Versatile, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and milestones. Ability to develop strategies to achieve goals within a regulatory framework. Ability to interact with diverse clients, colleagues, and professionals. Excellent business‑oriented analytical and writing skills; strong modeling proficiency. Self‑driven and capable of working independently or remotely under pressure, while collaborating effectively.
