Job Description Job Description Assistant Controller (Food Processing | Cost Accounting | NetSuite) About the Role AppleOne is currently recruiting an experienced Assistant Controller with a strong background in cost accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting within a food processing environment. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Lead and execute month-end close in NetSuite, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial accuracy checks • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) • Build and present board-level financial reports and variance analysis • Oversee cost accounting processes, including product costing, inventory valuation, and margin analysis • Partner with operations and production teams to improve efficiency and reduce costs • Monitor and analyze KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to drive plant performance • Manage fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking • Collaborate with HR on payroll and labor cost allocation and analysis • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements • Assist with external audits and reporting documentation • Participate in process improvement initiatives and special financial projects ________________________________________ Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • 10+ years of accounting/finance experience, including cost accounting and financial close • Experience in food manufacturing, CPG, or industrial manufacturing preferred • Strong expertise in NetSuite ERP (or similar systems) • Proven success in financial reporting, operational analysis, and inventory management • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling • CPA or CMA certification is a plus • Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and process improvement How to Apply • For more information on this opportunity and a confidential conversation, please contact Mike Marmolejo at View phone number on click.appcast.io or email your resume to m m a r m o l e j o @ a p p l e o n e . com Equal Opportunity Employer / Disabled / Protected Veterans The Know Your Rights poster is available here: -06/22- 088_EEOC_KnowYourRights6.12.pdf The pay transparency policy is available here: - transp_%20English_formattedESQA508c.pdf For temporary assignments lasting 13 weeks or longer, the Company is pleased to offer major medical, dental, vision, 401k and any statutory sick pay where required.
