Job Description
Registered Nurse - Obstetrics

Schedule

Nights 7 PM - 7 AM, Every 3rd Weekend.

Assignment Details

On-call for the remainder of the shift if staffing is low. If called in, must arrive within 30 minutes.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current licensure by the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
• At least 3 years of experience working in OB, Postpartum, and/or L&D.
• Current BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments of patients.
• Participate in establishing a collaborative plan of care based on assessment data.
• Implement and evaluate the plan of care, modifying it as necessary based on patient reassessment.
• Document all care and education provided according to established standards.
• Assess and implement individualized education plans for patients and families.
• Participate in nursing department or unit-based initiatives and orientation of new personnel.
• Provide age-appropriate care tailored to specific populations.
• Adhere to established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
