Make a difference supporting students with significant needs in an engaging elementary school setting. This contract opportunity provides the chance to work onsite with a dedicated team focused on fostering growth and academic success for all learners. Located near Arvada, CO, you’ll enjoy a four-day work week and meaningful connections with students requiring additional support.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Teacher licensure
- Experience or training in Significant Support Needs (SSN) programs preferred
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Commitment to inclusive education and positive student outcomes
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to elementary students with significant support needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with families and a multidisciplinary team
- Incorporate specialized strategies and supports to address academic, behavioral, and social goals
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and colleagues to ensure student progress
