About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Finance to join their senior leadership team. The successful candidate will be a strategic financial partner, responsible for leading the finance function and supporting the company's financial health, operating priorities, and growth objectives. This role involves overseeing all finance staff, accounting operations, financial planning and analysis, and serving as the primary finance partner for the CEO and CBO in various strategic and business development activities. The VP, Finance will also be tasked with developing and maintaining a robust financial control environment, leading the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, and ensuring compliance with financial governance and U.S. GAAP. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with more than 10 years' of progressive finance experience, including senior financial leadership in a complex industry. A strong background in financial planning and analysis, accounting and reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to lead finance staff, manage external service providers, and communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders. Preferred qualifications include advanced degrees or professional credentials such as CPA, MBA, or CFA, and experience in a privately held, venture-backed, or pre-commercial life sciences company. Experience with financial modeling, and scalable finance processes and systems, and a strong understanding of financial governance are also key requirements.
