Accountant

We are looking for an Accountant to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below. Our client seeking a proactive Accountant to support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and process improvements. This is an onsite role in Northwest Columbus with strong visibility to leadership and the opportunity to support a dynamic, growing organization. Responsibilities Perform daily and monthly accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis. Support month-end and year-end close with timely and accurate financial reporting. Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with GAAP. Assist with AP/AR review, cash postings, and bank reconciliations when needed. Partner with operations and cross-functional teams to support costing, inventory accuracy, and project financials. Prepare schedules and documentation for audits and internal reviews. Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement. Support budgeting and forecasting activities as assigned. Participate in system and process enhancements, especially as the company continues to scale. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2+ years of accounting experience; manufacturing industry exposure strongly preferred. Solid understanding of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and month-end close processes. Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar). Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic modeling). Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently onsite. Effective communicator who can collaborate across departments.
