Underwriting Assistant ; Property (Manhattan)

Insurance company is seeking a Property Underwriting Assistant with Program experience to support the team and assist with the day to day billing, servicing, checking policies, processing endorsements, and submissions. This is a hands-on, very detailed role involving spreadsheets, reviewing quarterly reports, and processing data. Someone who thrives in a fast-paced P&C environment and takes ownership of their workflows with excellent Excel and math skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and assist with the day to day policy servicing of billing, processing endorsements, checking policies, certificates, and other policy documentation with accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain organized files and ensure compliance with underwriting and documentation requirements.
- Support the team with administrative tasks and special projects as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3-5 years of insurance experience (carrier, wholesale brokerage or retail agency experience)
- Understanding of specialized program business in the commercial property space.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong math skills and Excel.
