We are a private office seeking a skilled Medical Assistant with experience in X-Ray to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to perform both administrative and clinical duties in a fast-paced medical environment.

Duties:
· Clean and sanitize exam rooms

· Triage patients

· Ensure patient data information and/or reason for visit (RFV) is updated in CS Link

· Prepare and administer medication as directed by physician

· Verify accuracy of patient prescriptions

· Removes sutures/staples as directed by physician and changes dressings

· Prepare and send out specimens

· Assist patients with understanding ancillary service instructions

· Assist refill of patient prescriptions

· Comply and respond to medical record request within 24 hours.

· Scans medical information into patient charts

· Prepare and restock Colace samples, Polysporin, and Mycolog II ointment tubes

· Order back-office equipment and instruments as needed

· Maintain back-office logs

· Respond to patient emails and voice mails within 24 hours

· Support physician with patient needs and/or concerns

· Ensure patient completes consent forms for pre-op and post-op surgery

· Acquiring Pre-Authorizations for CT scans

The following duties are on an “as needed” basis:

· Billing for CT scans

· Maintain substance control box

· Restock rooms and carts

· Set up of video and/or laser equipment

· Order back-office equipment and instruments

· Venipuncture

Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program
- Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant with X-Ray experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
