As a Security Officer Financial Institute Part Time Patrolling in Brooklyn, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Compensation & Schedule Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Friday 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Fixed shift) How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time next week, if desired. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or customers by following site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a financial institution location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security‑related concerns to the appropriate contacts. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, lobby areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions. Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas while assisting with visitor screening, badge verification, and/or access control procedures in accordance with site expectations. Support daily operations by communicating with site personnel, assisting with de‑escalation when appropriate, and completing required reports related to incidents, patrol activity, and/or policy concerns. Minimum Requirements At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
