Title Food Service Specialist – Qdoba Mexican Eats, UNT Retail Dining Services Location Denton, Texas Position Overview The Food Service Specialist at Qdoba Mexican Eats delivers high-quality food and exceptional customer service in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment. This role supports daily operations by preparing and serving menu items, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and ensuring a clean and welcoming dining area for the campus community. Supervisors operate kitchen equipment, restock supplies, and assist with opening and closing duties while adhering to all company and university policies and procedures. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently during peak service times, and a commitment to creating a positive dining experience. Minimum Qualifications Minimum six months of general working experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Follow oral and written instructions; maintain records and complete forms accurately. Knowledge of food service equipment, kitchen utensils, and health hazards in food preparation. Understand safety and security precautions appropriate to work performed. Preferred Qualifications The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong work ethic, prior food service experience, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn and grow within the retail dining operations. Job Duties Support food preparation and presentation, ensuring all items meet established quality and safety standards. Ensure cleanliness and organization in all food service areas, including kitchens, dining spaces, and storage areas. Deliver outstanding customer service by warmly greeting and assisting customers, answering questions, and promptly addressing concerns. Physical Requirements Communicating with others to exchange information. Lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds. Moving about to accomplish tasks or move from one worksite to another. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting or standing. Environmental Hazards No adverse environmental conditions expected.
