Medical and Biostatistics Expert for AI Chart Analysis

Interpret complex clinical and epidemiological visualizations and convert that expertise into precise, verifiable analytical tasks and answers used to train and evaluate advanced AI systems. This remote contractor role focuses on chart interpretation, multi-step quantitative reasoning, and designing unambiguous question-and-answer assignments that reflect expert-level clinical and biostatistical judgment. No prior experience in AI is required.

• Interpret medical and biostatistical charts with professional accuracy, including Kaplan-Meier curves, forest plots, ROC curves, hazard-ratio plots, and similar clinical or epidemiological visualizations.
• Draft clear, objective, multi-step analytical questions derived from visual data that require quantitative reasoning beyond basic data extraction.
• Provide precise, unambiguous answers in expert-level written English, including comprehensive step-by-step explanations that show calculations, statistical inferences, or clinical judgment.
• Apply domain-specific terminology accurately, referencing units, scales, confidence intervals, p-values, and relevant annotations in all deliverables.
• Design reasoning tasks that focus on graphical interpretation, comparisons, calculations, trend analysis, and interpolation while avoiding subjective or ambiguous phrasing.
• Collaborate remotely and reliably with project teams through written and verbal communication, actively incorporate feedback, and maintain consistent, high-quality outputs.
• Produce verifiable reasoning assignments intended for training and evaluation use cases for advanced AI models.

• Required skills: chart interpretation accuracy, multi-step quantitative reasoning, question design with unambiguous task construction, domain-specific terminology precision, and ability to collaborate remotely.
• Preferred education: Bachelor, Master, or Doctoral degree such as MD, MPH, PhD, or equivalent in Medicine, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, or a closely related quantitative or clinical field.
• Preferred experience: two or more years of professional, academic, or research experience interpreting clinical trial data, survival analyses, or epidemiological visualizations.
• Demonstrated advanced skill interpreting axes, legends, units, scales, confidence intervals, and statistical annotations in medical charts.
• Proven ability to clearly articulate analytical processes and provide clinical or biostatistical reasoning in high-quality written and spoken English. Bilingual proficiency in English and a second language relevant to medical or research practice is a plus.
• Experience in technical documentation, scientific publishing, assessment or analytical task development, structured data annotation for clinical or research projects, or producing benchmark questions or technical reports for medical or AI model development is desirable.

Pay range: 25 to 50 hourly.
