Tax Bookkeeping Specialist | Baker Tilly US The Tone: This is a full-time role at Baker Tilly, a leading advisory, tax and assurance firm, providing services across the U.S. and globally with 43,000 professionals and $5.2 billion in worldwide revenue. This role is crucial for supporting the firm’s tax practice by providing essential bookkeeping services to small and mid-size business clients, enabling them to focus on their core operations while ensuring accurate financial records for tax preparation. The TL;DR Role: Early Career Type: Full-time Location: Hybrid, Greater Tampa Bay Area Pay: $20.44-$30.00 hourly Team: Part of the tax practice Mission: To provide essential bookkeeping services to small and mid-size business clients, supporting their tax needs. Tech Stack: QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word) What You’ll Actually Do Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts for multiple clients. Journal Entries: Enter adjusting journal entries to maintain accurate financial records. Account Clean-up and Reporting: Clean up client accounts in preparation for tax returns and provide comprehensive reports to clients and the tax preparation team. Client Bookkeeping Setup and Support: Onboard new clients by setting up bookkeeping accounts in QuickBooks Online and assist the tax team with year-end 1099 reporting. Client Collaboration and Special Projects: Collaborate with clients to respond to requests and inquiries, and manage special projects as needed. The Must-Haves Background: An Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, demonstrating an understanding of professional services and client service. Experience: 0 to 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, with proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel. Skills: High attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, intellectual curiosity, strong organizational and time-management skills, and an approachable, professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills for client interaction. #J-18808-Ljbffr
