Position Title: Account Manager - Commercial & HOA Landscape

Location: South Orange County, CA (San Clemente / San Juan Capistrano area)

Company Overview: Our client is an established, growth-oriented landscape services company operating multiple branches throughout Southern California. Position Overview: This is a backfill opportunity created by internal promotion. The Account Manager will inherit an established book of business encompassing commercial properties and HOA accounts in South Orange County, with full responsibility for client relationships, crew coordination, and enhancement sales. The right candidate brings landscape industry experience, Aspire proficiency, and the operational discipline to run crews in the field while maintaining strong client-facing relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage an existing book of business valued between $1.2M-$1.6M, consisting of commercial buildings and HOA accounts across South Orange County
• Serve as the primary point of contact for property managers, board members, and facility contacts within assigned accounts
• Coordinate and direct field crews daily, including morning dispatch and oversight of work quality and scheduling
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure service delivery meets client expectations and company standards
• Drive enhancement sales within existing accounts, targeting strong margin performance (approximately 55%) and maximizing commission potential
• Process and manage account activity within Aspire, including scheduling, estimating, proposals, and purchase orders
• Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking crew members to ensure smooth daily operations
• Attend HOA board meetings and after-hours client engagements as needed
• Collaborate with the branch Operations Manager and Branch Manager on workflow, staffing, and performance issues
• Proactively identify and escalate client concerns, retention risks, or operational issues before they become problems

Qualifications & Experience

Required

• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a landscape account management or field operations role
• Demonstrated proficiency with Aspire (or comparable landscape management software such as Asset, LMN, or similar ERP platforms)
• Bilingual - English and Spanish required; must be able to communicate fluently with field crews
• Clean driving record; no DUIs within the past five years (take-home company vehicle provided)
• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, including marijuana
• Must reside within Orange County or nearby with a realistic commute to San Clemente / San Juan Capistrano
• Ability to report to the yard by 5:40 AM and manage a day that runs through mid-afternoon, with occasional evening board meetings

Preferred

• Prior experience managing HOA accounts or working directly with board members and property managers
• Demonstrated track record of enhancement sales and upselling within an existing book of business
• Experience working within a multi-branch or regionally structured landscape organization
• Familiarity with Southern California's commercial landscape market and client expectations
• Candidates from the immediate Orange County area with existing local industry relationships

What Does Success Look Like

12-Month Success Metrics

• Seamless transition of the inherited book of business - client retention intact and relationships strengthened within the first 90 days
• Enhancement revenue consistently meeting or exceeding branch-established targets at approximately 55% margin
• Crews operating efficiently under daily direction with minimal escalations to the Branch Manager
• Aspire fully utilized for scheduling, proposals, and account management with no operational gaps
• Proactive client communication in place with property managers and HOA boards - no surprises, no reactive service calls
• Performance trajectory that positions the candidate for expanded responsibility or internal advancement within the organization

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $75,000 - $98,000, commensurate with experience
• Commission: Uncapped; top performers earning $10,000+ per month in commission based on enhancement sales performance
