Job Description: This role is responsible for conducting financial crime investigations to identify, assess, and escalate potentially suspicious activity. Investigators analyze complex customer and transactional information, evaluate risk, identify patterns that may indicate financial crimes, and determine appropriate next steps based on the facts and available evidence. Successful investigators apply sound judgment, professional curiosity, and critical thinking to reach well-supported conclusions. They clearly document investigative findings, articulate risk-based decisions, and ensure work is completed in accordance with regulatory requirements, enterprise policies, and quality standards. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple investigations while producing work that withstands regulatory and independent review. Responsibilities: •Completes investigations to meet or exceed quality and production expectations •Completes Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) in a timely and accurate manner for submission to regulators and/or law enforcement •Reports facts of the investigation to senior stakeholders •Analyze financial transactions to assess whether activity is suspicious and warrants further investigation. •Manage the full investigation lifecycle, from initial review through documentation and resolution. •Gather and evaluate relevant information to support sound decision-making throughout the investigative process. Required Qualifications: •Technical proficiency and the ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple investigative systems and tools simultaneously •Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills •Acts with a sense of urgency and creates this in others •Demonstrates problem-solving, analytical & organizational skills •Acts decisively and with good judgment •Must be flexible & adaptable; ability to handle multiple and shifting priorities •Thinks strategically and willingly participates in projects and other opportunities •Motivated individual who always maintains a positive and professional attitude •High emphasis around identifying and managing risk Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Desired Qualifications: •1+ years in AML or financial crimes investigation •Familiarity with transaction monitoring and case management systems •CAMS certification (or working toward it) a plus Skills: •Professional curiosity and investigative mindset •Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills •Attention to Detail and accuracy •Ability to synthesize large amounts of data from multiple sources •Sound risk judgment and escalation discipline •Strong written communication skills •Effective time management and organizational skills •Technical proficiency and the ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple investigative systems and tools simultaneously •Regulatory Compliance •Adherence to policies, procedures, and guidelines •Adaptability & Commitment to Continuous Improvement Shift: 1st shift (United States of America)
