The Receptionist Role The Receptionist is an integral part of our crew because they are often the first person who our families interact with when they walk through our doors. Our receptionist is the friendly face of the school. The receptionist works closely with the Office Manager and the Dean of Operations. Duties include but are not limited to: Warmly welcome families into the school Manage front desk adult sign in log Manage front desk scholar sign in log, including tardies and dismissals Answer phone calls and take messages for staff Schedules meetings between families and staff including at high volume times like family conferences and enrollment meetings Supports with set up and break down of school events like family conferences, professional development, and graduation ceremonies Adapt to tackle other day to day challenges in a fast paced environment Maintain professional customer service during high volume and sometimes stressful situations Who We’re Looking For We seek outstanding educators with the following qualifications: Bilingual in English and Spanish required (ability to read, write, speak) Proficient in email and digital calendars Ability to problem solve independently and collaboratively Flexible and adapts to new technologies and initiatives Well organized and detail oriented In addition, the ideal candidate has the following competencies: Show me the Outcomes : Filters every decision through the lens of potential impact on their class High Demand, High Support : Sets a high bar for self, colleagues and scholars Oxygen Mask : Builds the kind of personal habits that support physical and mental health in order to be able to maintain consistently strong work and be a reliable colleague Crew : Believes that working with a diverse crew – with a range of perspectives, backgrounds and communication styles – makes us stronger.
