Diesel Mechanic

Location: Butler, WI Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM Why Join Interstate Power Systems? What You’ll Do Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on heavy‑duty diesel trucks and/or equipment. Repair/replace major components including engines, transmissions, turbos, and differentials Use diagnostic software (Cummins Insite, Detroit Diagnostic Link, OEM tools) Complete service documentation for repairs, parts, and compliance Communicate repairs and recommendations to customers and internal teams Follow all safety standards (OSHA, DOT, company protocols) Maintain tools and equipment for daily operations What We’re Looking For Experience: 2+ years working on diesel trucks or heavy equipment Strong mechanical aptitude with diesel engines, electrical systems, and diagnostics Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals Experience with OEM diagnostic tools preferred Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred) Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in shop conditions Bonus Points Diesel tech certification or ASE (T2–T8) Experience with Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Volvo, or Mack What We Offer Competitive pay - earn what you’re worth Uniforms provided + cleaning included Tool program assistance Full benefits (medical, dental, vision) - start the 1st of the month after hire 401(k) with company match PTO starting Day 1 Paid holidays + floating holidays Company‑paid life, short‑term & long‑term disability Safety reimbursement (boots & glasses) Employee discounts + pet insurance options Free 24/7 Employee Assistance Program Apply Today Join a company that lives its values - Pride in Service - and invests in your future.
