Staff Attorney – Tax Controversy We are hiring a Staff Attorney for a well-established boutique tax controversy law firm. This role is for an attorney who enjoys representing taxpayers before the IRS and state taxing authorities. You'll manage a variety of federal and state tax controversy matters from start to finish, working directly with clients and handling meaningful legal work in a fully remote environment. If you're looking to continue building your career in tax controversy without the expectation of bringing in business or pursuing partnership, this is an excellent long-term opportunity. Must-Have Experience We're looking for an attorney with several years of hands-on tax controversy experience. You must have: Active U.S. Bar license (California preferred, but not required) Experience representing taxpayers before the IRS Experience handling federal tax controversy and tax resolution matters Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to manage matters independently while working remotely during Pacific Time business hours Preferred Background Ideal Tax Controversy IRS Collections IRS Appeals Offers in Compromise Installment Agreements Penalty Abatement Federal Tax Disputes California Franchise Tax Board (FTB)
