Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Bring your passion for supporting students with diverse abilities to a full-time opportunity as a Life Skills Teacher in a K-3 classroom for the 2026-2027 school year. This in-person contract role starts July 28, 2026, and continues through May 26, 2027. You’ll have the opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of young learners by providing specialized instruction and nurturing growth in fundamental academic and daily living skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active and valid Special Education license/certification in Utah
• Experience working with K-3 students in a Life Skills or comparable instructional setting
• Strong understanding of IEP processes, goal setting, and data-driven instruction
• Skill in building positive relationships with students, families, and staff
• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
• Dedication to collaborative problem-solving and inclusion

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized lesson plans aligned with IEP goals
• Provide differentiated instruction targeting both academic and functional life skills
• Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
• Assess student progress, track data, and participate in IEP meetings
• Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Adapt to individual learning styles and behavioral needs
