Senior Software Engineer | AI + Healthcare New York City (On-site) We’re partnering with a 12M seed-stage AI startup building the operating system for nursing homes — founded by repeat entrepreneurs with backgrounds from top tech companies, and backed by strong investors with early traction already in place. Why this matters: The senior population is set to double in the next 15 years, and nursing homes are already understaffed. Nurses lose a third of their day to documentation instead of patient care. This company is building an AI platform that strips away that admin burden — starting with an ambient AI copilot that listens during care, auto-generates clinical documentation, and flags early health decline through vocal biomarkers. Over time it expands into admissions, compliance, billing, and other operations. The role: As one of the first engineers, you’ll work directly with the founders to shape the product and the engineering culture from scratch — high ownership, real influence on technical direction. What you’ll do Build core backend systems powering the AI platform, from audio capture to structured output Integrate LLMs, transcription, and biomarker models into production Ship fast alongside the founding team; set the engineering standards as you go Own projects end-to-end, from architecture through deployment What they’re looking for 3+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience, owning projects from design to deployment Comfortable with high autonomy in a fast-moving startup Excited about applied AI — healthcare experience not required Requirements: Must be US-based, onsite in NYC, U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (no sponsorship) #J-18808-Ljbffr
