Job Description:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS MANDATORY

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant application development experience may be considered.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS NICE TO HAVE

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; certifications in web/application development or relevant technical training preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE MANDATORY

• 4 6 years Application/Web Development + JavaScript + SQL + HTML + CSS.

WORK EXPERIENCE NICE TO HAVE

• Python, Docker, Jinja, and Git/GitHub experience

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Convert approximately 70 existing fillable PDF inspection documents into interactive HTML forms for use by ODAFF field inspectors.
• Develop JavaScript functionality to capture and process inspector inputs from the new online forms.
• Integrate the application with the SQL database to securely save and retrieve inspection data.
• Use Jinja templates to compile collected inspection data into standardized PDF documents.
• Develop and enhance HTML and CSS components to create functional and user-friendly inspection forms.
• Perform SQL development and database-related activities, including working with inspection data and supporting application functionality.
• Provide ongoing JavaScript development and application support to help keep the project on schedule.
• Work with the existing development team to support the in-house replacement Inspections application.
• Participate in application testing, troubleshooting, and defect resolution as needed.
• Support the transition from the existing inspections program, which is scheduled for decommissioning in Spring 2027, to the new in-house application
