AEITS, a GTSC company, seeks a Software Engineer, Level 1. ~~~ This position pending contract award ~~~ Location Annapolis Junction, Maryland area. All work is on-site, in-person in a SCIF environment. This is not a hybrid or remote position. Clearance Top Secret SCI with appropriate polygraph. Compensation $133,000 - $143,000 annual salary. Mission Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain complex software solutions supporting mission‑critical systems, large‑scale data processing, advanced analytics, and enterprise applications. Responsibilities Analyze user and system requirements to develop software design solutions. Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services. Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues. Integrate software into new and existing systems and operating environments. Develop and optimize database interfaces, queries, and data repositories. Create and maintain technical documentation and design artifacts. Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, development, testing, and deployment. Collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver mission‑focused solutions. Support software quality assurance, configuration management, and release activities. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices. Required Qualifications 7+ years of software engineering experience supporting programs of similar scope and complexity. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline. 4 years of additional Software Engineer experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for bachelor's degree. Experience With One Or More Of The Following Technologies Level 1 at least 5 years of experience: Java, Python, JavaScript
