Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Experience with a patient ratio of 1:6 - Ability to manage and care for complex medical/surgical patients - Familiarity with telemetry monitoring - Skills in wound care, IV management, and other nursing procedures Description: This position requires working the night shift, with rotating weekends and holiday coverage. Staff are assigned to groups for self-scheduling. These groups rotate every week, and there is a holiday rotation that requires working one summer and one winter holiday. Nurses will float as needed to cover staffing requirements. On the first day, the RN will complete necessary compliance tasks before starting the first shift on the following scheduled workday. The unit is a 32-bed medical/surgical environment that focuses on innovative nursing practices and new technology adoption. Daily patient rounds will include a diverse group of patients with varying medical diagnoses, emphasizing care for adults and geriatric populations. There is interdisciplinary support available, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Candidates should be proactive in managing patient care and adapting to new tools and processes.
