▶︎ What will you do
As a Senior Pre-Sales Security Engineer, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers evaluate, design, and adopt cybersecurity solutions that address their business and security requirements.

• Technical Discovery & Solution Design
  Lead technical discovery and scoping discussions with prospective and existing customers.
  Translate business requirements into solution architectures across a broad cybersecurity portfolio, including:
  MXDR
  EDR/XDR
  SASE/ZTNA
  Email Securit
  SSPM/DSPM
  Password Management
  Brand Protection
  Security Awareness Training
  
  
• Proof of Concept & Demonstrations
  Plan, configure, and lead customer proof-of-concept (PoC) engagements and product demonstrations.
  Define evaluation criteria and success metrics.
  Present findings and recommendations that support customer decision-making and proposal development.
  Conduct bilingual (Japanese/English) technical demonstrations and presentations when required.
  
  
• Technical Proposals & Scoping
  Develop solution architecture diagrams, bills of materials (BOMs), technical scope documents, assumptions, and high-level effort estimates.
  
  
• Support proposal and Statement of Work (SOW) development.
  Contribute technical content to RFI/RFP responses and customer-facing quotations.
  Vendor & Partner Engagement
  Build and maintain strong working relationships with strategic technology partners and vendor sales engineering teams.
  Stay current on product roadmaps, new features, and competitive market trends.
  Evaluate emerging technologies and support the development of new service offerings, including DSPM, ASM, and AI Security solutions.
  
  
• Pre-Sales to Delivery Handover
  Ensure a seamless transition from the pre-sales phase to project delivery.
  Clearly document scope, assumptions, customer expectations, identified risks, and technical requirements.
  Participate in project kickoffs and provide technical guidance during the initial delivery stages.
  
  
• Account & Territory Support
  Serve as the primary pre-sales technical resource for customer accounts in the New York region.
  Focus on Japanese-headquartered financial institutions, trading companies, and insurance organizations.
  Support customers across other regions of the United States as needed.
  Incorporate applicable regulatory and compliance considerations, including NYDFS Part 500, FFIEC, and SOX IT requirements, into solution designs and project scoping.
  
  
• Sales Enablement
  Develop reusable solution templates, reference architectures, and pre-sales collateral.
  Deliver product training sessions and technical enablement workshops for the broader sales organization.
  Support account planning initiatives by aligning customer environments with available service offerings.
  
  
• Practice Development
  Identify recurring customer challenges, technical objections, and lost-deal patterns to help improve service offerings.
  Contribute to product and service roadmap discussions.
  Mentor junior engineers and support the continued evolution of the pre-sales methodology and best practices.

▶︎ Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in a Pre-Sales Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or related customer-facing technical role.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity technologies and architectures, including MXDR, EDR/XDR, SASE/ZTNA, Email Security, SSPM/DSPM, Password Management, Brand Protection, and Security Awareness solutions.
• Proven experience leading technical discovery sessions, requirements gathering, and solution design engagements.
• Hands-on experience conducting Proofs of Concept (PoCs), product evaluations, and technical demonstrations.
• Ability to create architecture diagrams, BOMs, technical proposals, scope documents, and Statements of Work.
• Experience supporting RFI/RFP responses and technical proposal development.
• Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of security and compliance requirements in regulated industries.
• Professional-level communication skills in both Japanese and English.

• Experience supporting financial services, trading companies, insurance organizations, or other highly regulated industries.
• Knowledge of NYDFS Part 500, FFIEC, and SOX IT compliance frameworks.
• Experience with Managed Security Services and MDR/XDR environments.
• Familiarity with emerging cybersecurity domains such as DSPM, ASM, and AI Security.
• Experience working closely with technology vendors and channel partners.
• Experience developing sales enablement materials, reference architectures, and reusable solution frameworks.
• Mentoring, coaching, or technical leadership experience.
• Experience contributing to service development, go-to-market initiatives, or pre-sales process improvement.
