We’re an award-winning catering company based in Phoenix, AZ. About the Role The Sous Chef plays a key leadership role in supporting the Executive Chef and driving day-to-day kitchen operations to ensure exceptional food quality, presentation, and timely execution. This position is responsible for supervising and mentoring culinary staff, managing schedules and labor, and leading the successful execution of both on-site and off-site events. The Sous Chef collaborates with cross-functional teams to support menu development, maintain inventory and equipment standards, and uphold food safety and compliance. In the absence of senior leadership, this role steps in to ensure seamless kitchen operations while fostering a positive, high‑performing team environment. M Culinary Concept: Where Food is Fun! What we need from you We’re seeking a motivated culinary leader with at least three years of experience managing kitchen teams in a fast‑paced environment. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership and mentoring skills, a passion for food and innovation, and a solid understanding of cooking techniques, kitchen operations, and industry best practices. You should be confident in managing staff, handling high-pressure situations, and communicating effectively across teams. Proficiency with basic computer systems, including MS Office and procurement tools, is also required.
