Manpower is currently seeking experienced and motivated Resistance/Spot Welders for a growing automotive manufacturer in Sterling Heights, MI. This position is ideal for candidates with manufacturing experience who enjoy hands-on work, spot welding, quality inspection, and mechanical assembly.
Job Title: Resistance/Spot Welders
Location: Sterling Heights
Pay Range: $18.00 to $24.00
What’s the Job?
- Operate resistance welding and spot welding equipment to join metal components.
- Assemble automotive components and subassemblies according to specifications and work instructions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production documents.
- Position, align, and secure parts in fixtures, jigs, and clamps.
- Set machine controls, including air pressure, hydraulic pressure, and weld timing.
What’s Needed?
- Previous resistance welding or spot welding experience preferred.
- Manufacturing, automotive, or assembly experience required.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and blueprints.
- Experience using hand tools, measuring instruments, and production equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic computer and math skills.
