Local Contract Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $69-74 per hour

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to join a high‑performing L&D team at a respected hospital in Worcester, MA. The ideal clinician is confident in fetal monitoring, labor management, emergency response, and supporting providers throughout the childbirth process. Job Function Shift: 36 hrs/ 3x12 Nights 6:45a- 7:15p EOW/EOH Assess and categorize patients into the appropriate level of care Apply and interpret external fetal monitoring, including fetal heart tracings and uterine activity Implement timely interventions based on fetal heart rate patterns and maternal condition Identify and respond to obstetric emergencies, escalating to providers appropriately Administer medications safely in accordance with the Five Rights and infection‑control standards Perform pain assessments and reassess per clinical guidelines Assist physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care Job Requirements Minimum 2+ years of experience with prior travel experience required 3 years strongly preferred Experience floating between Labor & Delivery and Postpartum required Previous Mother/Baby and LDRP experience requiredEPIC charting experience required Active Massachusetts RN License required BLS required ACLS required NRP required AWHONN Intermediate required Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification preferred/required per unit expectations Disclosure: The hourly rates and/or salaries listed may or may not reflect total compensation packages including bonus and fringe benefits, etc., nor are the advertisement(s) posted a guarantee of a certain compensation package for a position or bona fide offer of employment.
