Human Resources Manager

Join Crossroads Staffing SX as a Human Resources Manager onsite in Oxnard, CA. This role partners closely with the Director of Human Resources to run day-to-day HR operations, with remote support extended to other facilities as needed. Compensation: $115,000 to $130,000 per year. Location: Oxnard, CA (onsite). Experience: 5+ years in human resources management. What you will do Partner with the Director of Human Resources to implement HR strategies, policies, programs, and organizational initiatives. Manage day-to-day HR operations and guide managers and supervisors on employee relations and employment practices. Counsel leadership on performance concerns, attendance, disciplinary actions, corrective action plans, performance improvement plans, and terminations. Conduct and document workplace investigations involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, misconduct, policy violations, and other employee complaints. Ensure corrective actions and employment decisions are documented, fact-based, consistent, and reviewed for compliance. Maintain working knowledge of California and federal employment requirements, including wage-and-hour rules, meal and rest periods, protected leaves, reasonable accommodation, and record-keeping. Administer and coordinate leaves of absence, including FMLA, CFRA, Pregnancy Disability Leave, reasonable accommodation and interactive process matters, and other applicable leaves. Support workers’ compensation administration by reporting injuries, coordinating with carriers and managers, monitoring claims, and supporting return-to-work or modified-duty arrangements. Oversee recruiting and staffing activities such as workforce planning, requisition management, candidate selection, onboarding, and retention initiatives. Coordinate performance management activities including introductory period reviews, annual performance reviews, goal setting, merit recommendations, and performance improvement plans. Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment, employee communications, and new hire benefit orientations and questions. Support payroll and timekeeping administration by investigating discrepancies related to time records, attendance, vacation, sick pay, and payroll. Monitor HR metrics including turnover, absenteeism, time-to-fill, retention, workers’ compensation activity, and other key performance indicators. Support employee training and management development, including harassment prevention, supervisory training, policy compliance, and performance management. Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records and ensure appropriate retention of HR documentation. Supervise, coach, and develop assigned HR staff, setting workflow, accountability, and performance expectations. Provide HR support to other company locations or business units as needed, and participate in special projects, audits, and compliance reviews. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources. What you bring 5+ years of human resources management experience Substantial knowledge of California employment law Proven experience across employee relations, investigations, corrective actions, performance management, leave administration, workers’ compensation, recruiting, and HR compliance Bilingual in Spanish Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Management, or similar PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHRca certification Experience working in manufacturing or industrial operations industries Experience with ADP or a similar HRIS/payroll platform Benefits Benefits #J-18808-Ljbffr
