Director, Business Development, Mobile Bay Now We have an immediate opening for a talented Business Development Director to lead our growth in the Mobile Bay area. Mobile Bay Now is a fast growing local digital media brand and part of a state-wide Alabama owned media company with strong roots. Mobile Bay Now has a large, existing local audience and billing clients. We’re looking for leader with strong business development skills who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and help us grow! About the Opportunity: As Director, Business Development, you’ll represent our company in the Mobile Bay area. You'll develop, support and oversee in-market partnerships with a strong focus on revenue, team building and civic involvement. You must be: A leader Someone who cares deeply about the Bay area You will recruit and grow the sales team over time and work hand in hand with the content team in delivering excellent product and service. This role involves recruiting, training, and developing top talent. Responsibilities: Serve as our company’s business leader for the Mobile Bay area. Support existing clients and build new business by prospecting, securing discovery calls, closing accounts. Exceed revenue targets by developing a sales strategy working hand in hand with leadership. Develop a deep understanding of our mission, brand and offerings and communicate this in a confident, persuasive way with clients and the public. Provide expert support for our clients in communication, presentations, follow-up and professionalism. Lead and support the content team to execute the brand strategy and deliver content excellence. Support in the growth of our audience throughout all of our digital channels. Recruit, train & develop talent. In a motivational manner. This includes continual feedback loops, annual reviews, identifying areas for growth and disciplinary action when appropriate. Qualifications: 5+ years of successful sales leadership performance ideally in media/communications/advertising space. Knowledge and interest in digital marketing solutions (custom content , CTV and network buys) Proven ability to recruit, lead, motivate and coach others to achieve results Proven leadership experience as a results oriented professional in work and civic involvements. expert organization and project management skills. Exceptional communication skills including; actively listening, confident presentation delivery and accurate, appropriate follow-ups. Must be personally invested in the local Mobile Bay area possessing strong knowledge, existing network and desire to support and lift the region. Experience with comfortable using software tools; CRMs, Canva, excel, email+ Loves working with a team and open to guidance from leadership.
