Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to develop individualized therapy strategies based on clients’ unique needs.

• Facilitate evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, families, and groups, employing techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring all client information is documented in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and share insights that enhance treatment plans.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training to stay up-to-date with the latest mental health research and practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse client base, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. Goodwell Counseling Services specializes in aiding clients who face barriers to access, including socio-economic challenges, and we address a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship struggles. The LCPC will employ a trauma-informed approach to ensure all clients feel safe and respected while navigating their mental health journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.

• Current and unrestricted LCPC licensure in the state of Maryland.

• At least two years of counseling experience, preferably in a clinical setting.

• A demonstrable understanding of legal and ethical standards in the mental health field.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong rapport with a diverse clientele.

Preferred Experience\n

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, substance abuse, or trauma is highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
