Description We are hiring a part-time Bilingual Teller who will be responsible for providing exceptional Member experiences with a focus on courtesy, product knowledge, accuracy, and timeliness with respect to all credit union products and services. This team member must be able to communicate all CU SoCal financial products and services with Spanish-speaking Members. Branch Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00AM to 5:00PM & Saturday: 9:00AM - 1:00PM *Based upon business needs, this position will require flexibility to work a varied work schedule, including rotating Saturdays Why Work at CU SoCal? Requirements Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. 6+ months cash handling experience in Retail/Service industry. 6+ months experience in Member/Customer service. Bilingual with fluency in English and Spanish to serve our Spanish speaking Members while conducting their banking business. Preferred Qualifications Associates degree or equivalent experience. Working knowledge of savings and checking products, accounts, and services. Skills and Abilities Working knowledge in all applicable MS Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.). Good verbal and written communication skills in person and over the phone including very good active listening skills. Good interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing high quality service to our Members and working as a team player. Ability to use knowledge of products, services, and branch operations. ​ Essential Duties and Responsibilities Processes Member transactions accurately, including but not limited to deposits, transfers, withdrawals, and other transactions in accordance with credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Processes all transactions within assigned limits, maintains daily cash, and sells cash to the vault as needed so as not to exceed established limit. Adheres to accurate cash balancing procedures. Researches and resolves cash differences. Identifying opportunities to cross-sell credit union products and services while generating referrals based on Member needs. Responsible for responding to Member inquiries and resolving issues. Educate Members on alternative channels that provide service. Adhere to accurate check scanning and balancing. Adhere to the service standards outlined by the credit union. Assist with opening/closing branch procedures as necessary, Saturday availability. Adhere to credit union policies, operational controls, and regulatory procedures to ensure the safety and security of Member and credit union assets. Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products and services. Must be able to work in a team environment with the ability to interact well, and in a positive manner, with co-workers and management. We support Pay Transparency and are a pay-for-performance organization that benchmarks base pay to the 50th percentile of market data. Pay Scale: Min. $17.47 / Mid. $21.63 / Max. $25.05* an hour *Actual compensation will be based on geographical location, work experience, education and/or skill level.
