## Sprinkler HelperApplylocations: Miami, FLtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: R-101078**THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL**Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Sprinkler Helper to learn and assist with the installation and service of all forms of fire sprinkler systems and services. This is a key position for our growing team and requires someone who is interested in learning the fire sprinkler trade and a desire to start a career in the exciting and sustainable fire/life safety industry. **WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (and doing well)!*** Assist Sprinkler Service Technicians with coordination and installation of overhead sprinkler systems, fire pumps, standpipes, and hose systems.* Attend and participate in weekly job site safety meetings.* Learn and assist in reading and interpreting blueprints, to help install prefabricated fire sprinkler piping.* Occasionally communicate with various contractors and trades to ensure projects stay on time and on budget.* Comply with industry standard procedures and Sciens safety programs/policies.**WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU*** High school diploma or equivalent.* Desire to enroll in Sprinkler Fitter apprentice program and grow within the Fire and Life Safety industry.* Self-starter; able to work independently but also demonstrate the ability to be a team player with a can-do attitude.* Ability to use basic hand tools.* Willing to learn how to read and comprehend blueprints, specifications, and project schedules.* Willing to learn how to thread and groove pipe.* Willing to travel to local job site locations.* Be physically fit to perform the demanding work of the trade, including frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds, maximum occasional lifting up to 50 pounds; able to work from heights and climb ladders; standing and walking for most of the workday.* Able to obtain OSHA 10 Certifications* Ability to work under tight deadlines and with a sense of urgency.* Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation.**WHAT WE’RE BRINGING TO THE TABLE*** Competitive salary based on qualifications.* Paid time off plan and holidays.* 401(k) matching.* Short term and long-term disability.* Medical, dental, and vision plans with options.* Life insurance.* Professional career development opportunities.* Tuition reimbursement. #J-18808-Ljbffr
