Job Description Reviews existing models and recommends improvements/changes as necessary. Leverages transportation systems, models, simulations and data to prepare basic to high complexity studies of existing or proposed transportation system including: new systems; upgrades or updates to existing systems; re-routing of systems; reviews of existing systems; etc. Creates transportation surveys, exhibits, and other meeting materials as necessary, to identify areas of public concern and facilitate public and stakeholder input. Reviews transportation plans for compliance with applicable local, state and federal laws. Escalates any legal compliance issues as necessary. Collaborates with engineers to research, analyze or resolve complex transportation conceptual/schematic design issues. Collaborates with sales staff to create proposals in response to current and potential client requests for proposal (RFPs). Reviews draft proposals for adherence to firm, industry, state, local and federal regulations and best practices. Meets with current and potential future clients to review their current and future design needs. Performs other duties as required. Provides technical guidance and training to more junior staff.
