Computer Aided Dispatch Administrator

Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) Administrator Overview We are seeking an experienced Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) Administrator to support the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of public safety technology solutions. This role works closely with law enforcement, fire, and EMS organizations to deploy and support CAD, RMS, and Mobile platforms that are critical to emergency response operations. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience working within or consulting for Public Safety organizations Proven experience implementing, configuring, administering, or supporting CAD, RMS, and/or Mobile solutions Strong subject matter expertise in public safety systems and workflows Intermediate knowledge of IT infrastructure, including databases, networking, and virtualization Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Project, and SharePoint Ability to obtain CJIS certification and successfully pass required background checks Preferred Qualifications Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Knowledge of cloud technologies and cloud-based environments Experience with CentralSquare CAD products Key Responsibilities Install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain public safety software applications Support CAD, RMS, and Mobile solutions for emergency response organizations Administer application environments, including production, test, and training systems Configure system settings and business rules to meet operational requirements Perform user administration, security management, and application maintenance Maintain and update application documentation and technical procedures Provide end-user support, training, and consultation Collaborate across teams to manage application integrations and dependencies Apply software updates, patches, and enhancements Ensure system performance, reliability, security, and compliance with applicable standards Participate in an on-call rotation supporting mission-critical applications What You'll Bring Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Experience working in complex, mission-critical technology environments Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail Commitment to delivering reliable solutions that support public safety operations Work Environment Collaborative, cross-functional team environment Public safety technology and emergency services setting Combination of implementation, administration, support, and training responsibilities Participation in rotational 24/7 support coverage Impact of the Role This position plays a vital role in supporting emergency response operations by ensuring the reliability, security, and effectiveness of critical public safety technology systems. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr.
