CNC Supervisor/Manager

Base Pay Rate: $25.00 to $40.00/hr.

Location: Spencerport, NY

Role Type: Direct Hire

Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday: 7:00AM to 3:30PM and (1-rotating Saturday per month 6AM to 10AM)

Available overtime, if desired.

Direct Reports expected: 30 employees

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading day-to-day machining operations to meet production demands, achieve quality standards, and customer delivery timelines.
  
• Coordinate daily priorities, employee scheduling, performance reviews, corrective actions, support execution, and ensure work is completed efficiently and safely. 
  
• Train and mentor CNC Mill, VF8 Haas and 3-5-axis Setup Operators in operation, programming, and troubleshooting to reduce downtime and production efficiencies are being met. 
  
• Accountability for production output, quality, and on-time delivery standards within the machine shop, while supporting team development and driving continuous improvement initiatives. 
  
• Lead execution of production schedules, adequate materials to complete customer work orders and meet quality and delivery expectations.
  
• Establish priorities, allocate resources, and manage workflow based on production and business needs. 
  
• Provide technical leadership across machining operations, setup and process optimization, ensuring machining activities meet specifications, tight tolerances, and quality standards.
  
• Determine tooling, materials, and machining methods to support production requirements.
  
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, production flow, quality standards, manufacturing processes to increase production efficiency.
  

• At least 4 years of experience in CNC Machining, CNC mill manual machining, CNC Setup, Operation, and Programming (mills/VF8-Haas) equipment in precision metal manufacturing environments, required. 
  
• 3+ years of leadership experience, CNC Machinists, machine shop and/or CNC Setup Operators in precision manufacturing environments, required. 
  
• Must be proficient with;Mastercam (using G-code) to write CNC programs and editing existing code, ERP software (preferably Epicor), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  
• Experience working in tight tolerance environments, able to read and interpret engineering blueprints, process documentation, GD&T, and technical drawings.
  
• Skilled with precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and inspection tools, required.
  
• Proficient in problem-solving, able to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve machining and manufacturing process issues effectively. 
  
• Able to lead, prioritize work schedules, production schedules, and manage direct reports holding them accountable to quality standards, safety, and performance.

Work Setting & Environment:

This is an on-site position and requires the Supervisor/Manager to be on the shop floor supporting production operations. commute to the office daily in Spencerport, NY. The role may require wearing site-required personal protective equipment and occasionally moving between workstations and production equipment. Essential functions may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

Compensation: The good-faith base pay range for this position is $25.00/hr. to $40.00/hr. in Spencerport, NY. Actual pay will be determined based on job-related experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and applicable law. Other compensation potential: bonus, incentive, overtime, or other compensation offered.
