The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) works in conjunction with the Orthodontist making patients feel as comfortable as possible, prepare them for treatment, obtain their dental records and instruct patients on post-operative and general oral health care.This is a part time position, Mondays, Tuesdays and WednesdaysWe also offer mileage reimbursement!Role and ResponsibilitiesPerform a variety of orthodontic treatment procedures under the direct supervision of the OrthodontistSet up and breakdown operatory post treatmentTake, develop and mount dental radiographs (x-rays)Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipmentAdhere to all OSHA and safety policies and proceduresProvide patients with instructions for oral care following all orthodontic treatment proceduresEducate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health while undergoing orthodontic treatmentPerform various office tasks as necessaryAll other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the immediate supervisorQualifications and Education RequirementsRDA License is requiredDental assisting experience in orthodontics is a plusX-Ray LicenseDenticon experience preferred, but not required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
