Overview
Registered Nurse – Critical Care travel assignment in Utica, New York. Start date: 11/09/2026 for 13 weeks, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Night shift (6:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.), 12-hour shifts in a Critical Care Float Pool. This position involves floating to ED, ICU, IMCU, and MS within a 42-bed unit and using Epic for charting.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct bedside nursing care to critically ill patients, including monitoring hemodynamics, administering medications, and managing ventilated patients as assigned.
- Float to ED holds, ICU, IMCU, and MS within the hospital according to patient care needs; adjust assignments to maintain safety and quality of care.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the broader care team to implement and adjust individualized care plans.
- Document accurately in Epic, including patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes; maintain up-to-date records in accordance with policies.
- Monitor for deteriorating conditions, respond to emergencies, and assist with specialty equipment as applicable (IABP, CRRT, ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, TTM).
- Communicate clearly with patients and families; uphold patient safety, infection control, and care standards in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements
- Active New York RN license required at time of submission
- BLS, ACLS, NIH required
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience
- Epic EMR experience
- Willingness to float to ED, ICU, IMCU, and MS; ability to manage assignments that may include 6–7 patients
- TRAVEL experience required; NURSYS report and license verification for all active RN licenses
- RTO (time off) must be included at submission
