Role Description The Business Development Specialist is a full-time, hybrid role based in Seattle, WA, with flexibility for partial work from home. This position focuses on identifying and cultivating new partnerships, program participants, and institutional relationships to expand GIVE’s impact and reach. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market research, generating qualified leads, maintaining a pipeline of prospective partners, and supporting outreach campaigns to schools, universities, and organizations. The specialist will engage in regular communication with prospective and existing partners, provide high-quality customer service, and collaborate with internal teams to align offerings with partner needs and organizational goals. The role also involves tracking performance metrics, preparing reports and presentations, and contributing ideas to refine business strategies that support sustainable growth. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and experience using data to evaluate opportunities, measure performance, and inform strategic decisions. Candidates should possess excellent Communication abilities, including clear written and verbal communication, presentation skills, and the capacity to build relationships with diverse stakeholders. Candidates should possess Lead Generation experience, including prospecting, pipeline management, and nurturing potential partners or customers through the engagement process. Candidates should possess Market Research skills, such as assessing trends, identifying target segments, and analyzing competitor and industry insights. Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to provide responsive support, manage inquiries, and ensure positive experiences for partners, travelers, and institutional clients. Additional beneficial qualifications include familiarity with CRM tools, experience in nonprofit, education, or travel sectors, and a demonstrated commitment to social impact and global citizenship. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
